The four images below show the different skins now available in mojoPortal. A skin provides the general theme and overall look of the website. All of these skins are patterned after the UF template. For an explanation on how to select or change the skin setting for a page see the Creating a New Page section of this user guide.
This first image shows the UFRedesign skin. It offers a top horizontal navigation menu. Any child pages to the top level pages will show in a drop down menu format. If your website has only a few pages that can fit along the top menu area, this is the recommended skin design to use. To see a website using this format go to Academic Approval Tracking.
The next skin, shown below, is the UFRedesignLeftNav skin. It offers a top horizontal navigation menu and a left vertical navigation area. The child pages will be displayed in the left sidebar navigation area. The child pages can also be displayed in a drop down menu format from the top level navigation, as shown in the image above. If your website contains a huge amount of pages and it is content heavy this is the recommended skin to use. This mojoPortal user's guide is part of a website that is using the UFRedesignLeftNav skin.
The third skin that is available, is the UFRedesignSS skin as shown in the image below. This skin offers a navigation menu bar that runs along the top of the page. Below the menu bar is a slide show. You can add content modules under the slide show. This skin is recommended for use only on the home page of your website. The slide show images should be linked to important aspects of your site and should highlight items of interest. If you choose to use this skin, please submit a help request form (http://tss.it.ufl.edu/help-requests) and include the following information: the images (sized 930px by 325px), text, and the URLs you would like the images to link to. To see how this skin displays view this page.
There is also a skin design that uses the UFRedesignSS skin as shown above, but it has a blue background and three columns underneath the slide show. The image below shows how this design will look once it is set up properly. This design is recommended for users that have some HTML experience. For a more detailed description on how to create and edit this design go to the Advanced Skin Configuration page. If you choose to use this design, please submit a help request form (http://tss.it.ufl.edu/help-requests) and include the following information: the images (sized 930px by 325px), text, and the URLs you would like the images to link to. To see an example of this skin being used go to the TCD website.
