We have created several how-to guides for student, faculty, and evaluations administrators. A description of each guide and the link is provided below.
The student "How to give helpful course evaluations" (PDF) guide provides some short, memorable guidelines for students to follow when completing their evaluations. If students are given class time to complete their evaluations (a recommended best practice), the guide can be projected onscreen for students to consult. A vertical PDF version of this guide is also available. You are welcome to use this guide in your course syllabus or on your course website.
The GatorRater slideshow (PDF) is available for faculty to use in class. The presentation explains to students why evaluations are important and can be linked-to in your online syllabus or class website. This short slideshow can be presented in class during the evaluations period to provide incentive for your students to complete the online evaluations.
For evaluations administrators we have created a Quick Reference Guide for Administrators (PDF) that lists step-by-step instructions on commonly used tasks in the evaluation system.
The Quick Reference Guide for Faculty (PDF) provides step-by-step instructions on some of the most commonly "how do I" questions asked by faculty. This guide is set up two to a page, so you can print out many copies if necessary.
